We are hiring a Linux System Administrator to manage and maintain Linux-based IT systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate has experience with distributions in physical and virtual environments, core skills in automation, configuration management, deployment, and system troubleshooting, and is able to communicate in English at work.

Responsibilities / Duties
- Install, configure, monitor, and manage Linux-based systems in physical and virtual environments.
- Manage shared drives on Linux servers (CIFS, NFS, Samba).
- Maintain access control and implement security policies according to corporate standards.
- Provide day-to-day support for OS and infrastructure, including hardware and firmware maintenance.
- Create and maintain backups and participate in regular disaster recovery testing.
- Plan, test, and upgrade Linux operating systems to supported versions.
- Detect, document, report, and resolve system outages or operational issues.
- Monitor system performance (CPU, RAM, disk space, applications) and conduct trend analysis.
- Automate routine tasks using scripts or automation tools.
- Design and implement open-source infrastructure solutions for scalability and cost efficiency.
- Maintain system documentation.
Education / Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related area.
- Two years of experience managing Linux systems in physical and virtual environments.
- Knowledge of connecting storage systems to Linux servers (CIFS, NFS, Samba).
- Hands-on troubleshooting of networking systems (LAN, VPN, Firewalls, TCP/IP, etc.).
- Comfortable using shell scripts or similar tools for automation and monitoring.
- General understanding of common database systems and technologies.
- Able to handle parallel projects, adapt to changing priorities, and respond quickly in urgent situations.
- Good written and spoken communication skills with both technical and non-technical people.
- Collaborative, organized and team-oriented.
- English: intermediate level (B1+), able to communicate in work-related situations
VALUABLE EXTRAS
- Linux Industry-standard certifications.
- Worked with Linux systems in clusters
- Managed virtual environments on Azure cloud and/or Proxmox.
- Hands-on experience with storage systems (DELL, HP) is a big plus.
- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and modern management or deployment automation tools.
- Supported containerized environments and microservices systems.
