Requirements

Must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Statistics, or related fields, with a Master's degree (or equivalent experience) in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or related disciplines.
  • (A Master's degree may be substituted by 3 additional years of relevant experience).
  • 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture and/or Data Engineering roles.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience with the following technologies:
  • SQL
  • Python
  • PySpark
  • Java
  • Distributed Computing
  • ETL and ELT processes
  • Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale data platforms and distributed data processing solutions.

Certifications (at least one required):

Microsoft Azure

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
    (Nice to have)

Databricks

  • Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate or Professional

Amazon Web Services (AWS)

  • AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional
    (Nice to have)

Nice to have:

  • Experience working in multi-cloud or hybrid data environments
  • Advanced knowledge of cloud-based data lakes and data warehouses
  • Experience with real-time and batch data processing
  • Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance frameworks

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures.
  • Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using cloud-native and distributed technologies.
  • Lead the development of data platforms on Azure, AWS, or Databricks.
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, performance, and cost optimization.
  • Collaborate with analytics, data science, and business teams to enable data-driven solutions.
  • Define best practices, standards, and reference architectures for data engineering.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineering teams.
  • Document data architectures, pipelines, and operational processes.
