Information Security is crucial at UniFirst and is part of a broader Information Governance, Risk, and Compliance program within IT. The
Junior Information Security Analyst
will be a key factor in assisting in identifying, preventing, and responding to cyber threats, monitoring network traffic, and implementing security controls under the guidance of senior analysts.

Responsibilities
:

  • Security Monitoring and Alerting
  • Analyze security alerts, and assist in resolving security incidents.
  • Threat Identification and Prevention
  • Identify and analyze potential security threats, and assist in implementing preventative measures.
  • Incident Response
  • Keep abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats and technologies.
  • Collaboration
  • Work collaboratively with other IT staff and stakeholders to ensure effective security practices.
  • Skills and Qualifications
  • Technical Skills: Basic understanding of networking, operating systems, and security technologies.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and troubleshoot security issues.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve security problems effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Requirements
:

  • English level
    B1
    and above
  • High school diploma required.
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or related field is often preferred, but practical experience and certifications can also be valuable.
  • Certifications: While not always required, certifications like CompTIA Security+ or CISSP can be valuable.
  • Technical Skills: Basic understanding of networking, operating systems, and security technologies.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and troubleshoot security issues.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve security problems effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Teamwork Skills: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • 1+ Years working in a business environment as part of a team.
