Job Summary

The Senior Finance & Accounting Coordinator is responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, vendor management, treasury, payroll coordination, and statutory compliance for Connext Colombia. The role ensures accurate accounting aligned with COLGAAP/IFRS, timely submission of statutory reports, and strong coordination with finance teams in the Philippines. This position maintains operational discipline across accounts payable, treasury, audits, payroll, and DIAN compliance while supporting leadership with accurate and timely reporting.

Job Description


• Manage end-to-end AP processing, including purchase orders, vendor invoices, and liquidation procedures.


• Track vendor invoices and payment schedules; coordinate with requestors on requirements.


• Ensure timely payments and proper documentation for disbursements.


• Review vendor contracts and coordinate with the statutory accounting firm for proper withholding applications (ReteICA, Renta, IVA).


• Escalate discrepancies or issues to Shared Services leadership.


• Track and reconcile daily cash transactions and maintain updated bank reconciliations.


• Prepare weekly cash flow projections and highlight risks to leadership.


• Coordinate fund transfers with HQ Finance and resolve urgent cash needs proactively.


• Prepare AR inputs for billing and reporting, including hours per employee, overtime hours, client pass-through expenses, and bonuses.


• Validate AR details with PH AR and prepare adjustments and billing queries.


• Coordinate with the third-party accounting firm for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.


• Review trial balance, journal entries, reconciliations, and statutory adjustments.


• Support consolidation schedules and coordinate with PH-based outsourced accounting (Montpac).


• Investigate monthly fluctuations and prepare variance analyses.


• Validate payroll novelties (overtime, bonuses, deductions, adjustments).


• Review payroll files prepared by the vendor for accuracy before processing.


• Ensure accurate posting of payroll to the general ledger.


• Coordinate DIAN submissions, VAT/ICA updates, withholding taxes, and statutory filings with Global GAAP and N&V.


• Maintain certifications such as RUT, Cámara de Comercio, and Supersociedades.


• Ensure compliance with Colombian legal and financial regulations.


• Recommend improvements for accounting controls, documentation, and workflows.


• Strengthen internal compliance, risk management, and Colombian statutory processes.

Required Qualifications


• Experience using Microsoft Excel and working with any ERP or accounting systems.


• Has background in Colombian tax rules, COLGAAP, and IFRS.


• Experience working with third-party accounting firms or payroll providers.


• Demonstrates strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.


• Work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


• Clear and coherent written and verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English.

Screening Criteria


• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Contaduría Pública, or a related field.


• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in accounting, treasury, AP/AR operations, or financial coordination roles.


• Must have a stable work history.

Desired Qualifications


• Experience in multinational shared services or BPO environments is a plus.


• Knowledge of Global GAAP/N&V processes is an advantage.
