Role Summary:

The Senior Citrix and AVD Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, and support of Citrix environments across enterprise infrastructure. This role ensures secure, scalable, and high-performing virtual desktop and application delivery solutions using Citrix technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy and maintain Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (Cloud).
• Manage Citrix infrastructure including cloud connectors, NetScaler, StoreFront.
• Perform upgrades, patching, and performance tuning of Citrix environments.
• Troubleshoot complex issues related to Citrix delivery, user access, and system performance.
• Collaborate with network, security, and server teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Implement and maintain Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) and Machine Creation Services (MCS).
• Monitor system health using tools like SCOM, or third-party monitoring solutions.
• Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and perform vulnerability assessments.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership in projects.
• Deploy and maintain AVD host pools, session hosts.
• Configure FSLogix profile containers for user profile management
• Understanding of Active Directory, Entra ID, Azure storage and group Policies.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Strong expertise in Citrix technologies: NetScaler, Citrix Cloud.
• Understanding of Entra ID, Azure storage and group Policies
• Experience with Active Directory, Entra ID, Azure storage, group Policies, DNS, DHCP and Windows Server environments.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms like Azure, VMware and Hyper-V.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese and English as second language.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in hybrid cloud environments.
• Exposure to ITIL practices and service management.
• Knowledge of SSL VPNs, multi-factor authentication, and enterprise security protocols.
• Having Azure and Citrix certifications is preferred.
