AGENTIC SOFTWARE, INC. is a U.S.-based company specializing in AI-powered software that helps businesses modernize and automate their operations. We are expanding our development team to support a key client project.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Ruby Developer to join us on a remote, contract basis. The ideal candidate will be a skilled engineer who is comfortable working on established systems and collaborating with a distributed team.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems and services using Ruby.
  • Build and integrate with RESTful APIs to support various application features.
  • Collaborate with other developers to deliver reliable backend and full-stack solutions.
  • Uphold code quality through peer code reviews and adherence to development best practices.
  • Debug complex issues and contribute to the overall performance and stability of the systems.

What We're Looking For

  • Senior-level professional experience
    in software development with a strong focus on Ruby.
  • Proficiency in creating and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • A solid understanding of Git and modern development workflows.
  • Advanced English (B1 or equivalent)
    is required for effective communication with our distributed team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, but not required for candidates with extensive professional experience.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with .NET (C#) and/or
  • Experience with containerization (Docker) or cloud environments (AWS, GCP, etc.).

Position Details

  • Employment Type:
    Contractor (Service-based contract).
  • Location:
    100% Remote.
  • Compensation:
    $20–$25 USD per hour, based on experience.
  • Engagement:
    Part-time contract with the potential for long-term collaboration.
