Purpose
Contributes to the overall success of cost recovery operation in Finance Services Unit, ensuring that specific individual objectives, plans, and initiatives are carried out or fulfilled in support of the team's business strategies and goals. Ensures that all activities are conducted in compliance with regulations, internal policies, and current procedures.

Accountabilities

• Act as a spokesperson for customer-focused culture, aiming to strengthen relationships with clients and leverage the overall relationships, systems, and knowledge of the Bank.
• Responsible for the Cost Recovery Latam (E2E) process between Peru, Central America and Mexico as supplier countries and recipient countries of regional IT services, aligned to the global processes (GTP), tool (GIST) and Framework (TPIGS).
• Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, forecasts, cash flow, cost tracking, etc.).
• Collaborate with other teams in the bank in matters related to cost recovery activities.
• Resolve situations of all types of complexity in attention to the teams that provide and receive intragroup technology services, proposing effective and agile solutions, among others: reconcile and distribute third-party billing vs. registered HH, manage observations / queries for billing of third parties, point of contact for support in queries / requirements related to administrative processes of the area, etc.
• Perform comparative evaluations and process analysis.
• Create executive financial presentations for any financial needs.
• Support any required ad-hoc financial analysis.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve processes and procedures within and between areas.
• Understand how to consider the risk appetite and risk culture of the Bank in daily activities and decisions.
• Carry out effective and efficient operations in their respective areas, in accordance with Scotiabank's values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles. This includes ensuring suitability, compliance, and effectiveness of daily business controls to meet obligations related to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, money laundering and terrorist financing risk, and conduct risk.

Education / Experience

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business Administration or similar professions (general knowledge of banking is a plus)
• Experience as a financial analyst of more than two years
• Excellent interpersonal relationships and teamwork
• Advanced knowledge in Excel data mining and access
• Good skills in presentations, reporting and communication
• Strong analytical qualities
• English language skills

Working Conditions
The incumbent works in a standard office-based environment requiring normal sensory attention. The business environment is fast-paced, complex and demanding. Deadlines are set well in advance for both external and internal financial reporting with very limited flexibility for change. Non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
