Position Overview

The
Market Intelligence Analyst
will join AMI's consulting project teams to deliver strategic, data-driven insights to clients operating throughout the Americas. This role is ideal for motivated professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments, demonstrate strong analytical discipline, and are passionate about economics, policy, and business in Latin America.

Work intensity varies with project volumes, so our analysts must be ready to
put in extra time when needed
to meet tight deadlines. We value

Our Medellín analyst team will include an on-site supervisor, but analysts are expected to
take full ownership of their work
and pursue excellence with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct
  desk and field research
  using primary and secondary sources to assess market trends, competitor strategies, and investment opportunities.
• Support the design and execution of
  surveys, expert interviews, and stakeholder consultations
  .
• Perform
  economic, regulatory, and political risk analyses
  to inform client strategies.
• Prepare
  client-ready presentations, reports, and written deliverables
  in PowerPoint and Word.
• Manage
  project timelines, quality control, and internal communication
  .
• Leverage
  AI-enhanced tools
  to accelerate data collection and insight generation.
• Participate in
  client calls and internal briefings
  , contributing concise, and analytical insights.

Training and Development

AMI provides structured, hands-on training in:

• Desk and field research methodologies
• Executive interviewing and qualitative analysis
• Survey design and data management
• Project and time management under consulting deadlines
• AI-assisted data analysis and visualization
• Professional writing and presentation design
• Client relationship and account management

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in
  Economics, Business, International Relations, Political Science
  , or a related field (graduate degree a plus)
• Minimum of two years
  of relevant experience in consulting, market research, analytics, or related disciplines
• Fluency in Spanish and English
  (spoken and written);
  Portuguese
  is an advantage
• Strong analytical, writing, and organizational skills
• High level of
  attention to detail
  —clients expect precision and perfection in every deliverable
• Proficiency in
  Excel and PowerPoint
  required; familiarity with
  Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
  a plus
• Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver under pressure
