ISU Corp a Canadian Software Development Company but our operations are fully remote Work with team members connecting via Teams, Gmail and our in-house social network, HubLinked. This position requires the successful candidate to work within the Eastern Standard Time Zone,

speak English and follow the Canadian Statutory Holidays schedule.

We are looking for a Developer who is comfortable stepping outside the code editor to help us configure our hosting environment.

The ideal candidate is a frontend specialist who has working knowledge of Linux—enough to set up a web server, deploy the application, and show our team the basics of maintaining the site in production. You don't need to be a DevOps expert, but you should be comfortable working in a command-line environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. & React Development (Primary Focus)

  • Feature Development: Build responsive, high-quality web pages using React and
  • CMS Integration: Work with our existing Headless CMS. You will define new content models, manage data fetching strategies, and ensure the frontend renders dynamic content correctly.
  • Architecture: Lead the development of the frontend architecture, ensuring code quality and scalability.

2. Linux Environment & Deployment (Secondary Focus)

  • Server Setup: Configure a Linux VM with the necessary packages to run a application (e.g., , Nginx, PM2, or systemd).
  • Deployment: Install the application on the server and ensure it is running in a production mode.
  • Basic Maintenance: Set up basic monitoring tools to ensure the site stays up.
  • Guidance: Walk our team through the installation process and provide a simple guide or tips on how to handle maintenance or restart services if issues arise.

Required Qualifications

  • React & Expertise: 5+ years of development experience with a strong mastery of JavaScript, React, and the framework.
  • CMS Experience: Proven experience integrating Content Management Systems with (creating content models, API integration).

Linux "Working Knowledge": You are comfortable using the terminal/command line.
