Software Developer III (ROR + React)

Lone Wolf is looking to hire a Software Developer skilled with constructing web applications using Ruby on Rails and React. You will serve as a member of our development team supporting the delivery of new and existing web apps for the real estate industry. Your work will focus on developing APIs that are performant, well tested, well documented, and maintainable as well as build a responsive modern frontend in React that uses those REST APIs. This position is in Colombia.

Responsibilities

  • Write clean, performant code for our current and future web apps.
  • Work with development team to implement new features, develop new products, and address bugs
  • Work within an Agile environment to plan and deliver work incrementally
  • Develop high quality maintainable and scalable SaaS solutions in the Ruby on Rails and React technology stack
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, and other software engineers to deliver key business objectives
  • Deliver an exceptional user experience to our customers, through the delivery of products and services with strong and extendable design patterns
  • Research, design, test, and evaluate emerging technologies and vendor solutions
  • Participate in performance tuning, testing, refactoring, usability, and automation; support, maintain, and help document software functionality
  • Identify technical requirements and participate in peer code reviews
  • Proactively learn product frameworks and code base; continually improve upon existing applications and learn emerging technologie

Required Skill
s

  • 3+ years of experience developing and delivering web applications
  • 3+ years of experience with the ROR Framework
  • 3+ years of experience with React and Typescript
  • Prior experience with relational databases like Postgres or MySQL
  • Prior knowledge and experience designing and working with REST APIs
  • Solid understanding of HTML and CSS
  • Solid understanding of git and GitHub

Bonus Skills

  • Prior experience with AWS or Azure
  • Experience with Elasticsearch or OpenSearch
  • Prior experience with GraphQL
  • Experience with CSS-in-JS systems such as Styled Components
  • Experience with React Query or RelayJS
  • Knowledge of Web Accessibility standards
  • Experience developing and working with shared component libraries
