AWS Infrastructure Manager

Girasol Payment Solutions is a fast-growing fintech company specializing in payment processing, digital wallets, card solutions, and bill payment services. With offices in Curaçao, Colombia, and Brazil, we provide secure and innovative financial tools, working with global partners like Mastercard, Visa, and Amex to deliver seamless payment experiences.

We're looking for an
AWS Infrastructure Manager
to take ownership of our cloud environment.

This role is crucial in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our AWS infrastructure—primarily across
ECS, EC2, RDS, VPC/VPN
, and
CloudWatch
. You will also work closely with our compliance team to support
PCI Compliance
initiatives.

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for an AWS Infrastructure Manager based in Medellín, with flexibility for some remote work. The AWS Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's cloud infrastructure on AWS. Daily tasks include monitoring system performance, ensuring availability, enhancing scalability, and maintaining data security. In addition, the manager will oversee cloud infrastructure troubleshooting, optimization, and support development teams in leveraging AWS resources efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor AWS services including
    ECS, EC2, RDS, VPC/VPN
    .
  • Build and maintain
    CloudWatch dashboards, alarms, and proactive monitoring
    .
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and ensure high system uptime and reliability.
  • Participate in
    incident response
    and perform detailed
    root-cause analysis
    .
  • Support periodic infrastructure audits and assist with
    PCI-related tasks
    .
  • Optimize AWS resources for
    performance and cost efficiency
    .
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to ensure stable deployments.
  • Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure, monitoring, and SOPs.

Requirements

  • 2+ years
    of hands-on AWS infrastructure management.
  • Strong understanding of
    ECS, EC2, RDS, VPC/VPN, CloudWatch, IAM, and Security Groups
    .
  • Experience with AWS CLI and IaC tools (
    CloudFormation or Terraform preferred
    ).
  • Solid monitoring, alerting, and performance-tuning experience.
  • Basic knowledge of security best practices (PCI exposure is a plus).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
