Domestic Transportation Coordinator

Position Summary

The ideal candidate will have experience in ground transportation (LTL) and will be responsible for planning, managing, and improving operational processes within the U.S. domestic transportation market, while ensuring high levels of service and compliance.

Requirements:

  • 2 + years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in English is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in International Business, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

Operational Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze transportation data to identify inefficiencies, cost drivers, and service issues. Develop actionable insights and implement improvements to enhance performance, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.

Vendor Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with current and prospective vendors to ensure reliable capacity and service for domestic freight operations.

Claims Management

  • Manage and resolve transportation-related claims in a timely and effective manner. Ensure compliance with internal procedures and maintain a high level of customer service.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with warehouse, customer service, and the pricing team to coordinate domestic transportation activities and ensure end-to-end operational alignment.

TMS Ownership & Optimization

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for our TMS (Primus), providing user and vendor support, resolving issues, and leading system improvements. Partner with IT and vendors to enhance system integration, tracking capabilities, charge accuracy, and process efficiency.
    Previous experience with Primus is not required but considered a plus.

Vendor & Invoice Management

  • Streamline accounts payable and invoice processes with trucking vendors through the TMS. Verify invoice accuracy against contracts, resolve discrepancies with the finance team, and regularly assess system effectiveness to recommend improvements.
