About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Engineer (PE) to join the Waterproofing Division. This role will be based onsite in SouthDesk's Medellín office, supporting the US-based project management team in overseeing active waterproofing projects throughout South Florida.

The Project Engineer will play a key role in preparing project-specific submittals, reviewing revisions and documentation, coordinating project schedules, setting up new projects, and issuing purchase orders to vendors. This position will also assist with payroll and scheduling when needed.


 
Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Vice President and project management team in day-to-day coordination of waterproofing projects across South Florida.

  • Maintain project documentation including contracts, submittals, revisions and progress reports.

  • Prepare and manage submittals, revisions, and other project documentation.

  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and address questions or concerns.

  • Prepare and update project timelines, progress logs, and status reports.

  • Ensure compliance with company standards, safety protocols, and quality expectations.

  • Assist with payroll and scheduling when needed.

  • Support payroll and scheduling as required.


 
Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in construction project coordination or management; roofing or waterproofing experience preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken) – required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and project management software.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teams across borders and time zones.
