**WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER**:
The Donor Relations Manager II (DRM II) will split their time between two core functions: 1) directly manage a portfolio of middle level donors (donors capable of making gifts of $10K-$100K USD) based in Argentina and Chile with the goal of building a portfolio capable of generating $250K annually and 2) assists in the planning and implementation of ongoing stewardship, cultivation, and solicitation of donors capable of giving major gifts ($100K+ USD) and managed outside of the region.
The Donor Relations Manager II is responsible for the identification and qualification of middle and gift prospects and leads cultivating, soliciting and stewarding donors through meetings, trips, events, and other activities. They conduct exploratory meetings with donors and prospects to determine capacity for giving and cultivates relationships with donors at a personal level. The DRM II provides ongoing opportunities for contact with past and current donors. They will move prospects capable of gifts of higher amounts to the prospect pool for management by senior fundraising staff and integration into the Moves Management process. They will work on a variety of activities including providing detailed program information to prospects and drafting personalized correspondence and acknowledgments.
They will partner with the Donor Engagement Officer and fundraisers across TNC on cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities for donors supporting Argentina and Chile and managed by fundraising colleagues outside of the region. They will project manage the proposal process for solicitations to support assigned markets in LAR for both donors they directly manage and for donors managed outside of their assigned markets. They use the Conservancy’s donor database to update donor information, produce reports, perform analysis, and track and cultivate donors. The DRM II understands the basics of the influencing factors on donors and the types of assets that may be used for the donor’s giving; applies knowledge to interactions with donors and gift asks. They will capitalize on matching gift opportunities. They will travel occasionally and work overtime as needed. The work environment may involve infrequent exposure to disagreeable elements and minor physical exertion and/or strain.
