Arizona Family Flowers is looking for an ambitious and detail oriented Floral Buyer to support our ever-growing dynamic floral supply company. We serve all aspects of the floral Industry including; wholesale, retail, weddings, and mass market. Our Floral Buyers are responsible for managing clear communication between a farm’s availability and the sales needs. They must also possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills in order to manage inventory levels and project industry trends and demands.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Manage product needs for open market, pre-order, and production using the Komet software.
- Negotiate with suppliers for competitive prices.
- Travel to vendor sites and shows as requested by management
- Oversee inventory levels for all floral needs of multiple departments and customers.
- Generate purchase orders for vendors.
- Ensure vendors have all necessary information to ship products, i.e., POs, Labels, shipping documents, etc.
- Communicate with logistics department as needed to coordinate freight and ensure the orders of products are timely and accurate.
- Allocate prebooks with required products.
- Ensure the production teams have all necessary raw materials and hard-goods to complete their schedule.
- Ensure landed cost of goods accuracy in all locations.
- Communicate weekly specials to sales team and assist in developing promotional plans that drive sales
- Manage the reconciliation of POs and Carrier Costs.
- Work with marketing on special materials needs for special events.
- Ensure the products meet our quality standards and contact farms regarding inefficiencies and quality concerns.

**Requirements**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of retail or wholesale buying experience. Preferably in the floral industry
- Comprehensive knowledge of floral products preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to new software systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and maintaining a positive and collaborative attitude with team members
- Strong verbal/written communication skills
- High attention to detail, highly organized, self-starter
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
- Full-time position. Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hrs per week
