Job Summary
The Communications Coordinator, Corporate Affairs, within the Office of Sustainability, Corporate Affairs, is responsible for coordinating, developing and executing multi-stakeholder communications, helping to ensure the organization’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategy, community partnerships, environmental initiatives, civic priorities and other related sustainability activities are appropriately promoted. This role will collaborate closely with members of the internal and external communications teams within Corporate Affairs, as well as other functional areas including Marketing, People and Culture and Events, among others, to help elevate the company’s purpose-driven priorities and their connection to the business, as well as, maintain and advance Bread Financials reputation in accordance with evolving stakeholder expectations.

Essential Job Functions:
- ESG Communications -_ Serve as a primary point of contact for ESG or community-related messaging and communications, and collaborating with internal and external communications teams to execute multi-channel communications. Align with the organizations mission and programming, while incorporating relevant ESG-related language, context, conversations and trends. Support the development of holistic communications plans for all major ESG-related activations, gifts and partnership announcements, community event sponsorships, etc. Develop and administer consistent, industry accepted and expected, ‘evergreen’ ESG messaging, incorporating appropriate and meaningful ESG nomenclature and language. Content development and curation for annual ESG performance report, supporting communications strategy, website and executive letters. Support partnership with 3BL (sustainability content distribution service), including measurement and tracking of ESG-communications as they connect to overall communications performance dashboard.
- Brand Awareness -_ Help to strengthen and expand Bread Financials brand and reputation through strategic communications that demonstrate the company’s deep social and environmental impacts and other responsible business practices. Brand partner (clients) and supplier ESG-related messaging and content development. Specific support in helping to articulate the vision for financial health and its long-term impact, as linked to the organizations mission, vision and brand promise.

- Remote office environment.
- Some travel required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public policy or public affairs.
- 1+ years of professional experience in a communications or public relations role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with some combination of ESG, diversity equity and inclusion (DE&I), nonprofit or public policy.
Salary Range:
$51,400.00 - $122,500.00
- The actual base pay within this range may be dependent upon many factors, which may include, but are not limited to, work location, education, experience, and skills._
Bread Financial offers medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and other voluntary benefits (including basic and optional life insurance, supplemental medical plans, and short and long-term disability) to eligible associates (regular full-time associates scheduled to work 30 hours per week or more) and their spouses/domestic partners, and child(ren) under the age of 26. New associate elected coverage begins on date of hire (with the exception of disability coverage which has a 6-month waiting period). Six weeks of 100% paid parental leave for eligible parents is available after a 180-day waiting period. Hired associates can immediately enroll in Bread Financial’s 401(k) plan.
All associates receive 11 paid holidays. Associates have discretion in managing their time away from work through the Flexible Time Off (FTO) program and may need to notify and receive approval from their manager prior to taking the time off. Associates receive 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safety Time per calendar year at the beginning of each year and is prorated in the associate’s first year of employment.
Hired associates will be able to elect to purchase company stock during offering periods in June and December. You will be eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance.
