Succeed the Shared Conservation Agenda´s ambitious results in three prioritized iconic landscapes: Amazon, Orinoquia and Magdalena, through lasting systemic changes that allow people and nature to thrive. Close alignment with the Colombia's Conservation Programs, the Science, Policy, and Communications teams, and guarantees the connection between local, LAR and Global organizational outcomes will be required.

**WE'RE LOOKING FOR YOU**:
The Specialist in Incentives for Conservation and Sustainable Agricultural and Forestry (SICSAF) will support the implementation of TEFOS III Program (a funded United Kingdom Government’s cooperation strategy) that aims “to improve the livelihoods of people living in prioritised conflict-affected, deforestation hotspots, ensuring that forests are increasingly valued, and incentives are established that encourage local stewardship of the forests and a reduction in deforestation and conflict in the Amazonas Region.” The focus of this program will be to kickstart projects, promote public-private partnerships, and improve the capacity of business to meet market demands. The SMS will coordinate actions to provide targeted technical assistance to local producers/service providers in selected deforestation clusters and support conservation incentives, where relevant, in prioritised protected areas. The position is overseen by the Sustainable Productive System Leader. The Specialist uses TNC code of conduct and competencies as a baseline to conduct their actions and set example for others.

In particular, the SICSAF performs the following actions:

- Develops, manages and advances conservation programs, plans and methods for Colombia BU in geographic areas that have been selected as Iconic landscapes to focus interventions on sustainable forest management and sustainable agriculture and cattle ranching systems.
- Provides technical and administrative leadership and support to the Colombian BU by planning, directing and implementing projects and stewardship.
- Addresses critical threats to natural systems and individual species related to predominant forestry and agricultural practices to foster the implementation of programs and projects that bring conservation and sustainable production.
- Uses and develops conservation and restoration incentives to preserve biodiversity and ecosystem services to achieve high-impact results oriented to sustainable production and conservation, contributing to the achievement of TNC’s goals.

**RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE**
- Works under the supervision of the Sustainable Production System program leader and supports it for the planning, monitoring and evaluation of programs and projects and operational actions.
- Works in collaboration with the other conservation programs and their leaders, articulating with the other conservation programs to generate synergies in the implementation, design, and construction of projects.
- It supports and leads the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of strategies, programs and projects developed within the framework of sustainable forest management, sustainable production systems and conservation incentives.
- Makes strategic alliances with public and private organizations to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Coordinates the preparation of technical studies, interprets and presents the results to partners and develops strategies for the fulfillment of the objectives of the program.
- Prepares/manages budgets to develop projects, negotiate and contract with suppliers, control costs and meet fundraising objectives, maintaining optimal performance standards for the project and/or Strategy.
- Ensures compliance with TNC's internal policies and external requirements
- Track and monitor projects in varying weather conditions, in remote locations, difficult terrain, and in physically demanding circumstances.
- Strengthen both technical and administrative capacities with stakeholders and staff.
- Makes strategic use of TNC's capabilities at regional and global levels.
- Supports NASCA's proposal development team in their fundraising strategy, including proposal development and budgeting.
