The Sustainable Business Models and Private Finance Specialist, in partnership with a broad team of local and international multidisciplinary experts in conservation, agriculture and sustainable finance, will advance TNC ambitious strategy to scale regenerative agriculture and ranching through systemic interventions. By building solid relations with private businesses, financial and productive stakeholders and promoting radical collaboration, we aim to develop and expand markets for regenerative ranching and agriculture (R2A) products and drive positive and large-scale changes in our food system.

**WE'RE LOOKING FOR YOU**:
We’re looking for a passionate, dedicated person with sophisticated business, financial and economic expertise to provide technical leadership and support to Colombia's conservation program to develope regenerative business models and financial mechanisms for different agricultural value chains, ensuring a positive environmental, social, and economic impacts and fostering the adoption of Ecosystems based Agriculture principles. Understanding micro and macro factors that affect the viability and scalability of the business models including financial instruments, public policy, and market dynamics. The Specialist stays updated on public and private financial opportunities, policies and regulations, market trends and sustainability initiatives related to regenerative value propositions, identifies potential opportunities for collaboration with different actors levering synergies to scale up regenerative business models, and develops outreach strategies to engage them in effective collaborations always ensuring that conservation goals are prioritized. The position is overseen by the Sustainable Productive Landscapes Specialist.

The Specialist uses TNC code of conduct and competencies as a baseline to conduct their actions and set example for others.

**RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE**
- Lead the development of regenerative agriculture business models in Colombia.
- Identify potential value propositions with positive social, economic, and environmental impacts to develop business models that can be sourced from TNC initiatives, or conversely, market opportunities that can be met via TNC's work.
- Lead sustainable finance initiatives, supporting the development of innovative financial mechanisms for the development and expansion regenerative business models and enable the scaling of regenerative business models.
- Identify specific financial needs and related challenges of value chain stakeholders and support the development of financial solutions tailored to their needs.
- Lead collaborations and relationships with private business and financial sector partners to develop innovative value propositions with positive environmental and social impacts. Describing financial requirements and cost structures.
- Stay up to date on innovative sustainable business models and sustainable finance approaches within TNC's Regenerative Food Systems Initiative and identify potential to leverage them for local projects.
- Stay up to date on the portfolio of productive initiatives under implementation by TNC Colombia and identify potential linkages to developing or strengthening sustainable supply chains.
- Support public policy initiatives, identifying opportunities to support government priorities by strengthening sustainable supply chains and regenerative business models.
- Develop relationships with stakeholders from the private sector, including corporate from the agrifood sector and financial partners, gremial organizations, and relevant public institutions.
- Support fundraising strategies to mobilize financial resources towards regenerative business models and financial instruments (e.g. to support blended finance models). Proactively helps develop strategies and proposals to increase the financial resources flowing to TNC and partner organizations’ conservation initiatives.
- Manage and implements a portfolio of projects. Supervise contracts related to development of business cases, business model frameworks, financial mechanisms, public policies, or other work related to the supply chains relevant to the different conservation projects.
- Develop and build on existing partnerships to
