Position Title: Legal Assistant
Location: Barranquilla
Shift days, hours and time zone: Monday to Friday, 9AM to 5PM
English required:B2+/C1
Job description:
The legal assistant is responsible for making the initial calls with the client, explaining the process of opening an estate, and requesting the necessary documents, and then referring them to the lawyer. Once the lawyer accepts the case, the legal assistant has to follow up on the case every month, to see what progress the lawyer has made with the case. And once we are told that the estate has been opened and we receive the letters of authority, they must be sent to litigation.
**Responsibilities**:
- Managing a large and time-sensitive caseload from start to finish.
- Communicating with clients and attorneys to coordinate the opening of probate estates
- Responsible for accurately entering in data obtain from clients and attorneys into our case management systems
- Monitoring and meeting deadlines
