The Legal Counsel provides comprehensive legal support across the organization, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations while mitigating risk. This role serves as a corporate generalist, supporting the negotiation and drafting of commercial agreements, advising on employment laws, as well as supporting product, HR, sales, and general litigation support.

**Responsibilities**
- Drafting and reviewing commercial and corporate agreements.
- Assisting in providing accurate, relevant, and timely advice on legal topics (e.g., fintech, labor laws, employment law, corporate matters, etc.).
- General HR and employment law support.
- Handling and assisting with a variety of other issues and projects as they arise, including product, sales, and litigation.

**Desired skills and competencies**
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing.
- 3-5 years of experience as a practicing attorney.
- Strong knowledge of corporate law, contract law, and employment law.
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and commercial transactions preferred.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to balance legal risks with business objectives in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Experience in a global or multi-jurisdictional environment is a plus.
- High ethical standards and sound judgment in handling sensitive and confidential information.
