Currently, we are seeking a Microsoft SQL Database Administrator to join our team. Here are the challenges that our next warrior will face and the requirements we look for:
**Position Title: Microsoft SQL Database Administrator**

**Location: Medellín/Bogotá (Hybrid Work Modality)**

**What you will be doing**:

- Administer, configure, secure, and optimize Microsoft SQL Databases using tools such as SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SQL Server Configuration Manager, and SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT).
- Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
- Collaborate with project teams to understand and elicit database requirements for various initiatives.
- Evaluate Database Logs and proactively address issues related to database performance, security, and reliability.
- Work closely with other teams to ensure seamless integration of database solutions and compliance with organizational standards.
- Participate in audits related to database security and compliance.
- Manage database replication processes for data consistency and availability.
- Leverage industry best practices and trends in database administration.
- Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
- Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.

**Requirements & Qualifications**

To excel in this role, you should possess:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related discipline preferred, or equivalent work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Administration Tools, including SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Server Configuration Manager, and SQL Server Data Tools.
- Experience with optimizing new and existing database functions.
- Experience working with Windows server.
- Experience working in project teams and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to evaluate Database Logs and troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Experience with database replication and audit participation.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication.
- Microsoft SQL Database certifications (preferred).
- Experience with Azure Data Studio and SQL Server Reporting Services (preferred).
