We’re looking for an independent, self-motivated Senior Business Development Manager to market our mobile products and technology in Latin America (except Mexico and Brazil). This person will be based in Colombia but should expect to travel across the region. The Manager will drive engagement with Qualcomm’s direct and indirect customers and business partners in region, across Qualcomm technologies encompassing mobile, fixed, Compute, and IoT (consumer and industrial). The Manager will create and manage relationships with customers and partners such as Mobile Network Operators (Carriers), Retailers, handset OEMs, local manufacturers of electronic components and/or devices, ISPs, and network vendors The ultimate goals are, to drive revenue through direct and indirect sales, through the sale and promotion of Qualcomm technologies across direct customers, indirect customers, partners and channels, and to increase market share and brand exposure for Qualcomm’s products **Responsibilities**: - Expand and create business opportunities for Qualcomm-based products manufactured globally - Create and execute commercial and marketing programs, oriented to increase demand for Snapdragon-based smartphones and Qualcomm technology in general - Build new, and expand ongoing business relationships with indirect customers such as Carriers and Retailers - Build new, and expand ongoing relationships with business partners such as global smartphone manufacturers, network vendors, system integrators, and electronic module makers - Identify and pursue opportunities for the sale of Qualcomm chipset portfolio to electronic manufacturing companies in Colombia, directly or through distributors - Work under a matrix type organization for support and decision-making hierarchy - Work closely with our Latam direct dales, strategy, marketing, Government affairs, and product teams to identify market trends and suggest strategies for expanding Qualcomm business in Colombia - Analyze and synthesize information, produce intelligence reports for the team, track customer’s opportunities, communicate effectively and create compelling recommendations Minimum Qualifications: - BS or BBA with experience in consumer markets of wireless products and semiconductors - 10-year experience in selling and marketing consumer wireless products and semiconductors, through direct customer facing roles, and trough channels and partnerships Preferred Qualifications: - Existing relationships and experience working with mobile carriers (mandatory) - General knowledge of the electronic manufacturing industry in Colombia - Entrepreneurial spirit and desire to learn, self-motivation and ability to work independently - Open mind and willingness to learn and work within a global organization across the time zones - English fluent - Frequent travel nationally and internationally If you would like more information about this role, please contact Qualcomm Careers .
