We are actively seeking a dedicated and empathetic **Patient and Benefits Coordinator** to join our client’s team of healthcare professionals. As a Patient Coordinator, your pivotal role will be to deliver seamless patient experiences over the phone within our client’s medical centers. Your primary responsibilities will encompass assisting patients in scheduling appointments, verifying insurance eligibility, and furnishing crucial information regarding copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles. Moreover, you will facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers by transmitting telephone encounters for medication refills and referrals.

- Employment type: Indefinite term contract- Shift: Monday to Friday | 7:30 am to 5:00 pm EST.- Work Setup: Onsite, Bogota

**What do you need to succeed?**
- Previous experience in a healthcare or medical office setting is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in navigating electronic health record (EHR) systems and other office software. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational aptitude, coupled with an acute attention to detail.
- A solid grasp of medical terminology, insurance policies, and healthcare billing practices.
- A compassionate and patient-centered approach to customer service.
- Adeptness in handling sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.

**What awaits you in this role?**
- Extend a warm welcome and provide comprehensive assistance to patients over the phone for inquiries, appointment scheduling, and general information.
- Address patient queries concerning scheduling, insurance policies, and billing matters. Validate patient eligibility for appointments and procedure codes.
- Educate patients about insurance coverage, elucidating copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles.
- Verify insurance particulars and collaborate with insurance providers to ensure precise billing.
- Serve as a vital link between patients and healthcare providers.
- Dispatch telephone encounters providers for medication refill requests and referrals, with a strong emphasis on ensuring prompt responses.
- Uphold the integrity of patient records, meticulously documenting insurance information, appointments, and communication history.
- Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate records.
- Champion patients' needs and concerns, demonstrating a commitment to their comfort and comprehension of medical processes.
