You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify testing requirements and implement best practices in QA processes. **Core Responsibilities**: - Lead and mentor the QA team, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement. - Develop and implement testing strategies, plans, and processes to ensure comprehensive test coverage. - Create detailed test plans and test cases based on project requirements and specifications. - Oversee the execution of manual and automated testing, ensuring timely delivery of quality software. - Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and define acceptance criteria. - Act as the primary point of contact for QA-related issues, providing updates and reporting on test progress and results. - Identify, document, and track defects through the testing lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution. - Conduct root cause analysis of defects and collaborate with development teams to implement corrective actions. - Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes and methodologies, implementing industry best practices. - Advocate for quality throughout the development lifecycle, promoting a shift-left testing approach. - Provide regular status reports on testing progress, defect metrics, and quality assurance activities to management. - Utilize data to drive decisions and improvements in the QA process. **Qualifications**: - 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. - Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices. - Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG) and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail). - Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) and scripting for test automation. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). **Job Level: P3** **Working at Amwell**: Amwell is changing how care is delivered through online and mobile technology.
