Accountabilities
**Accountability 1: Business Management**
- Effectively manage Cochlear Colombia including, annual business planning, forecasts, regular business meetings, product training, pricing decisions, tender management, compliance, support and other activities as necessary to meet the business objectives.
- Work closely with the Cochlear Colombia team, health care professionals, National Health Systems, Health Insurances as well as Cochlear clinical, technical, marketing, operations, sales service, and “volunteer”, teams to ensure the right structures are in place to optimize sales and profitability
- Develop and execute business plans, budgets, forecasts and monthly reports, monitor business
- Serve as legal representative for the Colombia operation
- Perform against plan/ budget and undertake corrective action where necessary
- Support Finance & Accounting in the management of working capital and collections while monitoring the cost effectiveness of activities in the Area to optimize resources and prioritize spending
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships with key stakeholders
- Ensure operational excellence and provide customers with a convenient, seamless, consistent experience throughout their hearing journey by building and streamlining excellent logistics, customer service, training, online services, clinical studies etc.
- Establishment, development and maintenance of a full, standalone Cochlear Health Care Provider office (_Cochlear Experience Center_) to sell products to customers that pay for bundled service - with purchase of product include delivery of health services such as programming and rehabilitation
- Works with Colombian logistics team, Colombian 3PL and CLASA Shipping and Receiving departments to arrange and follow up on all shipments and monitor stocking levels
- Arrange and follows up on orders (including returned merchandise authorizations), importation licenses, regulatory issues, shipments, payments and maintain all files, records and other documents
- Coordinate customer payment arrangements, including letters of credit, wire transfers and timely collections
- Make national, regional and local presentations to a variety of stakeholders
- Ensure strong legal and compliance practice and act within the laws and standards of ethical behaviour
- Maintain quality management system, including procedures related with HSSE in the workplace and ensure that all staff are trained, so that the team delivers the highest quality products and services
**Accountability 2: Sales Management**
- Responsible for the overall management of the sales force and sales administration functions in Colombia. Creates a strong team environment for goal accomplishments.
- Develops and implements strategic plans to accomplish Colombian sales goals.
- Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
- Establishes strong customer relationships with all key people in the accounts (surgeons, audiologists, or department, purchasing, etc). Meets with key clients, assisting members of Sales teams with establishing/maintaining relationships, assisting with any negotiations, etc.
- Using information gathered through various sources, provides input to President of Latin America, Senior Management and Marketing Management on marketing and sales communications needs.
- Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, discount rates and other means of optimizing product sales.
- Monitors pricing control to achieve maintenance or growth of average selling price, and hence positive margin leverage.
- Analyses sales statistics to formulate policy decisions.
- Represents the company at trade shows, professional forums, etc
- Monitors and evaluates competitors’ activities, providing strategic direction in response to this information.
- Through subordinate managers ensures successful implementation of annual strategic plans to support accounts.
- Support sales manager in the formulation of their business and financial plans and fully understands key business issues including headcount and capital expenditure
- Supports sales manager and local function heads on their sales and cost queries
**Accountability 3**:Cross Functional**
- Directs staffing, training (Cochlear Academy), and performance management to further develop Colombia sales efforts.
- Analyses and manages department’s expenditures in accordance with budget requirements.
- Manage the preparation of monthly departmental financial management reporting.
- Assists in debt collection
- Provides input to sales budgeting and forecasting.

- Proactively supports restructure and business development activities.
- Identification of business opportunities and formulate a strategies and tactics
