Senior Data Scientist

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our Data Science team reporting to the Director of Data Science. This role can be located remotely anywhere in Canada. In this role, you will design and build complex models that learn from Infoblox networks and DNS data to provide security solutions by translating business problems into technical problems, then building a technical solution that translates back to the business value. **What you’ll do**:

- Develop software to extract, clean, and manipulate large datasets—both structured and unstructured
- Construct data staging layers and fast real-time systems to feed machine learning algorithms
- Develop both deployment architecture and scripts for automated system deployment in AWS
- Build complex statistical models that learn from and scale to petabytes of data
- Work with architects and product managers to develop efficient and reliable algorithms

**What you’ll bring**:

- 3+ years of practical machine learning experience with demonstrated experience in feature engineering and data analysis
- 4-6 years of experience in analytic design and implementation and using analytic tools
- 4-6 years of experience in Big Data with Spark/Hadoop tech stack
- 4-6 years in a hands-on analytic environment, with the ability to articulate analytic needs and translate them into research and development requirements
- Expertise in automating and deploying models in production systems
- Familiarity with best practices for engineering in an enterprise environment
- Proficiency in Python, with specific expertise in Python’s data science and machine learning libraries
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new tools and paradigms to deploy cutting-edge solutions
- Strong written and spoken communications skills
- Masters or PhD in CS, mathematics, CE, or EE

After six months, you will
- Establish credibility with team members and key stakeholders through relationship building and providing actionable insights
- Understand the data sources and business products

After about a year, you will
- Build and deploy ML and AI data products into software products
- Be respected by peers and key stakeholders
