**About the role**:
As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the timelines and execution of our software engineering projects. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that tasks are completed on time and according to specification, while proactively identifying and clearing any blockers that may impede progress. Additionally, you will perform basic quality assurance checks to verify that deliverables meet the required standards. Your strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and technical acumen will be key to driving successful project outcomes. This is a **remote, full time consulting position (contract)**.
**Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, data engineers, clients, and business stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with business objectives and resource availability.
- Coordinate and track the execution of tasks, providing regular updates on project progress, identifying risks, and proposing mitigation strategies.
- Proactively identify and clear any blockers or dependencies that may hinder project delivery, ensuring smooth and efficient execution.
- Conduct basic quality assurance checks to verify that deliverables meet initial requirements.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members, ensuring clear expectations and accountability.
- Monitor and manage project risks and issues, escalating when necessary, and implementing appropriate corrective actions.
- Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement, incorporating feedback into future project planning and execution.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Overall 6+ years of industry experience, 3+ years of experience as a TPM
- Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager, successfully delivering software projects on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies, with the ability to tailor them to project needs.
- Solid organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as JIRA, Clickup, or Asana, for task tracking and team collaboration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Basic knowledge of quality assurance principles and practices, with the ability to perform basic QA checks.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
- Experience working in an agile development environment is preferred
