**Quality Assurance Analyst**
**Location: Colombia (Remote)**
**Work Type**: Remote
**Schedule**: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
**Contract Type**: Contractor
**Pay Rate**: USD $11-13/hour

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate closely with the Development team and Business Analysts to address and resolve defects and errors.
- Review requirements and design documents to gain a comprehensive understanding of project scope and functionality.
- Identify appropriate testing parameters, including functional validation, accuracy, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
- Log, track, and recreate bugs, error codes, and defects, ensuring thorough documentation.
- Develop, publish, and implement comprehensive test plans, including automated and manual testing strategies.
- Assist in designing and maintaining test automation scripts and support automated test analysts when needed.
- Conduct functional, regression, and backend testing (SQL Server, Oracle) to ensure seamless system integration.
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman and SOAP UI.
- Utilize test management tools and bug tracking systems (e.g., Azure DevOps) to streamline QA processes.
- Ensure adherence to Agile & Scrum methodologies, contributing to sprints, standups, and continuous integration processes.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in **Information Technology**, **Information Systems**, **Computer Science**, or a related field (required).

**Experience**:

- 1-3 years of experience in **IT quality assurance** or **software testing**.
- Experience writing and executing test cases, test scripts, and working with quality analytics teams.
- Hands-on experience with **Agile CI/CD** tools and processes.
- Background in backend testing using **SQL Server** or **Oracle** databases.
- Proficiency with automated testing tools (e.g., **Selenium**) and version control systems (**Git**, **SVN**).
- Experience working in distributed teams, including offshore or contract labor.
- Familiarity with **API testing** tools like **Postman** and **SOAP UI**.
- Prior experience with test management and bug tracking tools (**Azure DevOps** preferred).

**Skills & Competencies**:

- **Automation Frameworks**: Designing and developing automated test suites using **Selenium** or similar tools.

- **Collaboration & Communication**: Effective teamwork with developers, business analysts, and product managers.
- **Adaptability**: Flexibility in adapting to new tools, technologies, and changing project requirements.
- **Agile & Scrum**: Hands-on experience working in Agile environments, including participation in sprints and daily standups.
