Associate Analyst, Value Excellence Center

This role is part of the Value Excellence Center (VEC) within the Value and Solutions Consulting team. The VEC is a

global center of excellence focused on driving measurable business value for Coupa and its customers by providing

insights using data analysis. The VEC focuses primarily on pre-sales initiatives and supports the Solutions and Value

Consulting team by providing complex data analysis and helping understand, analyze, and respond to various business opportunities and challenges unique to each Coupa Customer.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- ** Help develop data-driven business cases**: support sales engagements with data-driven discovery by preparing & validating customer spend data and performing basic spend profile analysis to deliver meaningful insights, including identifying data patterns and opportunities for how customers can realize measurable business value with Coupa
- ** Perform complex customer spend analysis**: support sales engagements by performing complex analysis to estimate which of our customer’s suppliers are already transacting through the Coupa platform and/or through the MasterCard Network and identifying Working Capital, Pay (discounting, virtual card, etc.), Sourcing, Carbon Footprint (ESG), and Purchase Price Variance opportunities
- ** Demonstrate value through the Coupa product**: support Value Preview activities for Coupa’s AI Classification and Spend Guard risk solutions by structuring data sets and classifying categories for spend data provided by customers
- ** Self-motivate and research**: stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in analysis and reporting
- ** Provide value consulting support**: leverage advanced, data-driven solutions and prepare meaningful presentation collateral to help our customers more confidently make decisions and execute on those decisions to drive performance with Coupa
- ** Derive data-driven recommendations for customers**: support Value and Solutions Consultants as needed by helping advise customers on strategic decisions through the use of modeling, financial analysis, and valuation
- ** Work model expectations**: maintain a hybrid work model with a minimum of 3-days in office (Bogota, Colombia) and 2-days remote each week

Qualifications:

- ** Language**: fluent in verbal and written English language
- ** Work experience**: 0 - 2 years of work experience
- ** Strong analytical skills**: ability to analyze and resolve complex problems in a structured and logical manner
- ** Strong presentation development skills**: ability to synthesize complex information into clear takeaways and recommendations using both qualitative and quantitative methods, prepared in a digestible, presentable format
- ** Proven verbal skills**: excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to convey complex data findings and strategic recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- ** Microsoft suite experience**: advanced user of Microsoft Excel and proficient user of Microsoft Word and Powerpoint
- ** Technical experience**: familiarity with Python, SQL, and database structures
- ** Data visualization experience**: experience working with Tableau or Power BI visualization tools (or certified)
- ** Advanced cognitive reasoning skills**: demonstrated understanding of data science and statistical methods, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
- ** Flexibility in work style**: experience working independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels
- ** Strong attention to detail**: demonstrated attention to detail and familiarity with data governance and privacy best practices
- ** Workload prioritization & management skills**: willingness to work in a high performing environment and ability to manage and prioritize workload to achieve required timelines
- ** Education**: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Data Science, Economics, Information Management, Engineering, Finance, or Accounting
