**Job Description Sumary**

Co-lead and support Medical Affairs leadership for immunology indications related to one or more TAs to ensure the safe, effective, and appropriate use of our products in the LatAm region owning and driving the overall plans and medical strategy for in market and pipeline products, in close alignment with the IBVT (integrated Brand Value Team).

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure proper development and execution of the regional Medical Affairs strategic plan: medical education, evidence generation, publication, scientific communications and field based medical activities for the TA
- Ensure early and robust regional medical input for pipeline products and product launches and commercialization
- Drive consistency and alignment of Medical Affairs strategies, goals, and activities across the region recognizing the increasing complexity of the environment and the diversity of individual country’s healthcare systems
- Provide medical leadership to the IBVT and co-creation activities
- Lead the Regional Medical Affairs Teams (RMAT) fostering efficient communication, education, and alignment with local MAF managers in each operating company.
- Partner with regional and global functions as an effective member of Global Medical Affairs Teams (GMATs)
- Ensure all activities are in accordance with HCBI and applicable local guidelines.
- Maintain awareness of latest scientific and clinical advances of our pipeline and competitors
- Provide scientific, clinical inputs and TA and product knowledge to related therapeutic area to company teams as needed.
- Act as a strong medical external influencer, developing and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders (Key Individuals, payers, healthcare providers and patients) and advocate for Janssen’s products. Provide scientific support as required and gather information and insights.
- Lead regional clinical advisory board strategies and execution.
- Ensure engagement and high functioning Credo based culture in the organization
- Oversee regional evidence generation activities and ensure execution and publication plan is in line with overall MAF strategy
- Ensure execution of regional Medical Education activities in line with the overall MAF plan

Competencies**
- Deep knowledge of drug development process, including clinical epidemiology, randomized controlled trials, and publication plans
- 8-10 Years Work Experience, preferred in pharma industry, ideally in Medical Affairs with a minimum of three years of experience in a relevant area, proven track record of interacting with people with complex accountabilities and broad experience working with teams outside of medical affairs.
- Experience in Medical strategy development and execution.
- Communication and presentation skills
- Business acumen
- Teamwork, negotiation, coaching and influencing skills - able to work effectively in a matrix
- Proven capability in attracting and developing talent to support future succession needs
- Deep understanding in healthcare and medical compliance
- Pharmaceutical Market Knowledge
- Proven capacity to work through complexity, difficulty, and adverse situations with agility and adaptability
- Previous Medical Experience or similar level desirable
- Awareness of, and adherence to, Johnson & Johnson Credo values.
- English: Fluency is mandatory.
