**Job Description**:
As the Manager of Operations Colombia & Brazil, you are responsible for leading one of the most important business units in the region. You will lead a team in exceeding all country goals and objectives, drive profitable growth and world class service.
You and your team must be committed to achieving the business goals for the South America region. Partnering with regional Operations and Commercial leadership, you and your team will determine effective supply chain strategies to produce customer orders achieving overall profitability, while maintaining quality, cost, and lead time requirements of customers.
In this role, the plant operations will report directly to you, while all other support functions (finance, HR, IT, EHS), will provide support and partnership to ensure company goals are met in a sustainable and ethical manner.
You will be a key member of the South America Leadership team, joining your colleagues who lead other parts of the South America region. Learning from your peers, teams, and management, you will seek out and utilize best practices in the region to increase efficiency and profit margins.
You will model and promote the company’s code of business ethics and values, expecting the same from your team.

**Qualifications**:

- Lead and effectively manage a high performing, values-driven team of 10 direct reports.
- Setting goals, measuring and following up on progress, and providing feedback to direct reports.
- Achieve profitability goals of the South America hub through effective operations, sales and cost management strategies.
- Responsible for operations excellence, in line with key global operations, including: safety, service, quality and manufacturing efficiency
- Co-Responsible for management and oversight of environmental health & safety in the Colombia & Brazil plant
- Create an atmosphere which facilitates high levels of employee engagement, commitment and behaviors that mirror the Avery Dennison Values and principles.

Additional Information
- 08+ years Operations/Manufacturing experience managing large teams.
- Bachelor degree or above; Major in engineering, industrial management or related.
- Master degree in engineering, BA, Project Management is desirable, but not required
- Fluent in Spanish and English is required.
- Experience in leading continuous improvement efforts. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing Operating Principles.
- Strong ability to manage, coach and develop a diverse team of individuals performing a variety of tasks.
- Good organizational skills in strategy, communication at all levels and execution.
- Excellent leadership skills. Ability to lead, contribute, and influence others in a team-based organization.
- Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Microsoft Office, G Suite, and function specific software.
- Organizational and people skills, with an ability to openly convey information to team members in a timely, concise manner.
- Experience managing profit and loss of a large-scale or multi-country operational business.
- Senior level cross-functional management experience.
- Passion for technology.
- Strong experience in strategic leadership needed, international exposure preferred.
- Demonstrated success in cross-regional projects or initiatives.
- Advanced business and financial acumen needed.
- Experience in production planning.
- Skilled in communicating effectively with all levels of management on complex business issues
