Data Solution Architect

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Craft proposals for the implementation and design of scalable big data architecture
- Engage in customer workshops and present proposed solutions
- Define and develop network infrastructure solutions that address scaling needs and increasing traffic volumes
- Standardize business and development processes, tools, and platforms for data acquisition, storage, transformation, and analysis
- Design roadmaps and implementation strategies for data science initiatives including recommendation engines, predictive modeling, and machine learning
- Conduct audits and reviews of existing solutions, designs, and system architecture
- Profile and troubleshoot existing solutions
- Generate technical documentation

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- A minimum of 7 years' experience in Python or Scala development
- At least 2 years in a technical leadership role
- Demonstrated success in at least 2 projects involving ground-up system design and architecture
- A minimum of 1 year as a Data Solution Architect or similar role
- Strong SQL experience
- Demonstrable hands-on experience in ETL and DWH processes
- Experience with major big data technologies and frameworks including but not limited to Hadoop, MapReduce, Apache Spark, Hive, Kafka, Apache Flink, Flume, ZooKeeper, HBase, and Cassandra
- Experience with big data solutions developed in large cloud computing infrastructures such as Amazon Web Services, Azure Cloud, or Google Cloud
- Experience in client-driven large-scale implementation projects
- Data Science and Analytics experience is a plus (Machine Learning, Recommendation Engines, Search Personalization, Deep Learning)
- Profound understanding of Agile (Scrum), RUP programming process
- Practical expertise in performance tuning and optimization, bottleneck problem analysis
- Proficient English Communication skills (C1+)

NICE TO HAVE
- Solid grasp of design patterns, refactoring concepts, unit tests, and CI/CD
- Experience with vertical and horizontal scaling strategies
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes
