**We’re Hiring: Healthcare Billing & Office Specialist**

This role is responsible for managing patient accounts, verifying insurance information, following up on claims, and supporting daily administrative operations to ensure smooth and accurate billing processes. You’ll work closely with U.S.based teams, so strong English skills and attention to detail are essential.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage patient accounts and reconcile outstanding claims.
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits; prepare appeals when needed.
- Coordinate with clinical, billing, and administrative teams to optimize workflows.
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and accurate record-keeping in EHR systems.
- Communicate in English with patients, providers, and insurance representatives.
- Provide general administrative support as needed

**Required Skills & Experience**
- **1-2+ years of experience** in **U.S. medical billing** and/or **administrative suppor**t.
- Proficiency with systems such as **Athenahealth**, AdvancedMD, Charm EHR, Availity, and ACW.
- Experience with **U.S. insurance portals** including UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, among others
- Familiarity with spine surgery, telehealth, and physical therapy billing processes is a plus.
- **Advanced English level** (written and spoken) is required.
- Must be able to work **on-site in Medellín** (this is not a remote role).
