We are seeking a skilled **Senior Datawarehouse QA lead** to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of data in our data warehouse systems, lead a team of QA analysts to develop and execute test plans, collaborate with data engineers and analysts to identify data quality issues, implement best practices for data testing and validation and analyze test results and provide recommendations for improvements.

**Location: Toronto (Hybrid)**

**Duration: 5 months + yearly extension**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage QA processes for our data warehouse projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts to validate ETL processes, data integrity, and data quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Engineers, BI Developers, and Business Analysts, to define and implement QA strategies.
- Identify and resolve data quality issues and discrepancies through root cause analysis and proactive measures.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior QA team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and best practices.
- Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and technologies related to data warehousing and QA.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in QA with at least 3 years in a data warehousing environment.
- Strong knowledge of ETL processes, data modeling, and data integration.
- Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages such as Python or Shell.
- Experience with data quality tools and frameworks like Talend, Informatica, or similar.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with cloud-based data warehousing solutions (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse Analytics).
- Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE).
- Experience with Databricks is beneficial.
