**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Deploy and maintain production Linux operating systems in accordance with established IT policies and guidelines for items such as security, networks, and filesystems
- Coordinate and perform installations and upgrades to layered software packages
- Continually monitor and tune multiple systems to achieve optimum performance levels
- Work with on-premises Cloud and virtualization solutions
- Work with Enterprise IT Configuration Management automation tools/approaches

- Must have a bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience OR an associate degree and 5 years of experience OR High School Diploma / GED and 8 years of experience.
- Experience in Unix/Linux Server system administration.
- SUSE or Red Hat Linux Certification
- Familiarity or experience with configuration automation tools such Ansible.
- Working knowledge of authentication methodologies such as Kerberos, PAM, and LDAP.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, DNS, FTP, SSH, and other common Internet protocols
- Familiarity or experience with virtualized systems (such as KVM, ESX) and containers
- Knowledge of CLI, scripting (Bash, Python), and searching/parsing log files
