**About the role**:
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will have control over how to reach the goals specified in the project, developing and deploying services from R&D through production environments; You will work with some of the most experienced and talented professionals in the industry.

The infrastructure team the client is putting together requires individuals with a focus on delivery and results, a hunger to learn, the ability to adapt, and also thrive in an environment where you might not be provided all the training or instructions to get your deliverables done.

**About the project**:
The client is designing and building computational fluid dynamics services (CFD) primarily focused on the infrastructure, computing, and data layers. They tackle all things related to systems engineering, scaling, and data architecture. The team is building CFD services and architecture that will integrate directly with ML and simulation services.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Deep knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure (preferably AWS);
- Knowledge and experience in orchestration, configuration management, virtualization, Linux, CLI, deployment tools, monitoring, and APM;
- Strong Linux chops;
- Strong motivation to learn and adapt;
- Determination to achieve desirable results;
- Intermediate (B2) English or above; ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English.

**NICE TO HAVE**:

- HPC CFD experience;
- Experience in scaling services and systems from single-region clusters into multi-regional deployments;
- Experience with clusters of greater than 100 nodes;
- Experience in building on-prem systems (on-premise, data center, rack-n-stack, etc);
- Experience in distributing workloads onto both cloud and on-prem systems;
- Ability to balance business needs, product delivery dates, and customer satisfaction;
- Experience with back-end work such as SQL, API development, and serverless;
- Software engineering background;
- Proficiency in Python and/or other programming languages;
- Creativity to generate innovative products and features and ensure a delightful customer experience;
- Using Linux as your primary desktop workstation environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- You will be given top-level engineering goals and milestones, so you are responsible for figuring out and delivering what is required to get there;
- Building cloud, clustered, and distributed systems;
- Scaling services and systems from smaller deployments of ~5 nodes into larger ~25+ node clusters;
- Developing and deploying services from the R&D phase through production environments;
- Using orchestration, configuration management, virtualization, Linux, CLI, deploy tools, monitoring, and APM;
- Optimizing engineering and deliverables to balance feature development, product quality, and service reliability.
