**Overview**
The Customer Engagement Representative reports to the Sales Development Representative Manager.
**Responsibilities**
- Ability to learn services and products offered by DreamHost
- Call back customers with requests for assistance with our service
- Make calls to customers to understand their level of satisfaction, gain feedback and promote retention by building relationships
- Contact customers in cases to notify them about changes to their service, features, account configuration, etc.
- Engage customers with problems to aid in solving procedures by using diagnostic software or by providing detailed instructions
- Assist in proactively marketing our products and services to users who are seeking to improve their overall experience
- Ability to explain technical matters in an easy-to-understand, step-by-step manner
- Excellent written and communication skills
- A commitment to quality and a thorough approach to the work
- Flexible and positive attitude, ability to perform under pressure, and thick-skinned
- Patient manner in dealing with non-computer literate customers
- Strong level of influence and negotiation skills
- Able to deliver effective results
- Experience in Customer Service
- Ability to work autonomously and in diverse, virtual team environments
- Ability to manage and deliver on multiple support issues at same time
- Ability to adjust to shifting responsibilities and other team changes
