**Role Objective**:

That’s why we built an app that allows supermarkets, restaurants, corner shops, and other businesses to sell their products that are delivered by Rappitenderos to every corner of your city while helping millions of users to order and receive anything they want in around 30 minutes.
- This position plays a major role for Rappi's success. There are big challenges involving Machine Learning we're facing and are absolutely necessary to tackle so we can accomplish the key goals of the organization. The main projects this position will have to undertake are related to credit risk, fraud detection and growth strategies.
- Our VP of Data Science will be responsible for the creation of new data science capabilities for the business by envisioning and executing strategies that will influence improvement of the business’s performance by enabling informed decision making. As a leader, you should feel comfortable working proactively with business stakeholders to drive the business towards the next level. You will be responsible for designing, creating and executing advanced analytic data modeling systems.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Credit risk and fraud detection
- We believe that robust credit risk and fraud detection models are key to have a competitive advantage within our industry and be able to make better approval and credit experience decisions throughout the lifetime of a credit card user. We are looking for someone ambitious and eager to build and work with a best-in-class team to develop and maintain five-star credit risk and fraud detection solutions, leveraging Rappi's user database containing trillions of data points.
**Key Requirements**:
- 8+ years of experience in machine learning
- People management experience
- Team building experience
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in database analysis tools, such as SQL, Python, or R.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
