**About Chiper**

Chiper is a tech Startup present in Colombia, Mexico and Brazil. Through its e-commerce platform, it offers mass consumer products at direct manufacturer prices to independent businesses such as neighborhood stores, liquor stores, mini-markets, among others. Our purpose is to create bridges between low and middle-income people who are looking for better alternatives to buying their essential goods, their needs, and opportunities for traditional and obsolete models with technology, always thinking about that end-user and their alternatives. Our inspiration is the ultimate buyer sourcing from these independent businesses.

Chiper was born as a project in 2018 and in 2019 it was launched as a company. We have had accelerated growth and we seek to add to our team of entrepreneurs who dream of taking over the world, who enjoy an environment of uncertainty and co-creation. We want people who first of all want to be the best in what they do and also help their colleagues to be.

**Be part of a team where you will be**:
As a VP of Tech you will define and develop the technological vision of the company, implementing technological strategies and ensuring that the technological resources are aligned with the needs and commercial objectives of the company.

**We are looking for**:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Business or related field

**Your principal responsibilities will be**:

- Responsible for making all executive decisions regarding the technological interests of the company
- Establish the vision of how technology will be used in the company
- Ensure that technological resources meet the needs of the company in the short and long term
- Make executive decisions on behalf of the technological requirements of the company
- Act as a mentor to team members
- Manage technology budgets and deadlines
- Stay on top of technology trends and developments
- Ensure all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards
- Being the main point of contact and guardian of all technical efforts within the company
- Build and lead a world-class technology team with a focus on attracting, developing and retaining the best technology talent that can scale as the company grows

**We are looking the next skills**:

- +8 years of experience working in a technology role and +5 years of experience in a management role
- Advanced technology skill set and a proven history with technology
- Programming languages (JavaScript, Typescript, Go, Python, Java)
- Knowledge of Cloud tools (GCP, AWS)
- Advanced management of Scrum and different agile methodologies
- Analytical and problem-solving oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Great capacity for delegation and team management
- Fluency in English and Spanish or English and Portuguese
- Management skills and strategic thinking
- Solid knowledge of software architectur
- Solid knowledge of product management
