**Purpose**
**Accountabilities**
- Act as a spokesperson for a customer-focused culture aimed at strengthening client relationships and leveraging the Bank’s overall relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Gather and analyze the necessary data for designing and creating test scenarios and cases for the initiatives under your responsibility, and develop test automation for those initiatives, as well as track identified defects to ensure quality in the delivery of the developed solution.
- Execute functional test automation for assigned developments and supervise testing factory analysts to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and legislation (SOX, COBIT, among others). Manage test observations for prompt resolution.
- Implement and use capabilities for automating data extraction, cleansing, creation, provisioning, and validation to support test automation workflows.
- Document the testing process of the initiatives under your responsibility for formal control and audit purposes.
- Participate in the Pre-Production Change Committee to certify that future deployment announcements align with the unit’s planning.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to resolve critical incidents, improve SLOs (Service Level Objectives), and ensure a world-class customer experience. Note that this may occasionally require working outside regular business hours.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in daily activities and decision-making.
- Carry out effective and efficient operations in your respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the suitability, compliance, and effectiveness of daily business controls to meet obligations related to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, money laundering and terrorist financing risk, and conduct risk.

**Education / Experience / Other Information**
- Knowledge in automation for Web, API, and Mobile platforms.
- Basic knowledge of Gherkin.
- Familiarity with Atlassian tools, Git, and Bitbucket for version control.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in:
- REST API - SOAP UI - POSTMAN
- Working with Jira, Gherkin language, and Bitbucket
- Analysis, design, execution, and documentation of test cases
- SQL handling at query level
- White-box, black-box, and functional testing.
