The Quality Assurance Functional Associate supports testing of medium to large projects across various platforms and delivery channels. This role involves risk assessment and quality support for existing applications. Purpose The incumbent executes, supervises, and coordinates testing of medium to large projects using multiple delivery channels across various platforms. They assess the risk and quality of changes and enhancements in existing applications and processes that support the Bank network. Accountabilities Assist the Senior Manager/Project Manager in resolving highly complex, multi-faceted problems by applying financial and technological knowledge to design test methodologies, models, and systems solutions. Develop detailed test plans and monitor progress against objectives; participate in system implementation testing; define user procedures and workflows; develop conversion and implementation strategies; verify conversions; provide user documentation and training; offer post‑implementation support. Provide business support to all global units, including new and existing product and deal structuring, user training, and assistance with design and implementation of system enhancements across time zones and business lines. Ensure management is kept informed and issues are escalated appropriately. Continuously evaluate priorities for projects in response to directional changes and take decisive action as required. Assess QAT test results, work closely with development to resolve defects, and recommend production readiness. Work with the project team during the development cycle to ensure business and technical requirements are met; contribute recommendations and assessments to ongoing project reviews. Dimensions The incumbent leads small projects (< 100 workdays) and participates on large projects (> 500 workdays) with budgets around $500,000, producing real‑time, mission‑critical applications. The incumbent operates under Bank policy with general supervision from the Director and Senior Manager, and direction from Project Managers while functioning independently to ensure project objectives are met. Education and Experience A recognized undergraduate degree in business, econometrics, mathematics, or a related discipline, with 3–5 years of practical experience. Very good knowledge of testing methodology, procedures, and standards with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities. Manual test execution and Postman execution experience. Strong understanding of current financial instruments, market conventions, valuation methods, risk‑management methodologies, and best practices in at least one financial market area. Creative, self‑starting, results‑oriented, and highly motivated individual with excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills. Good understanding of EDP practices and systems development techniques, including requirements specification and testing methodologies, real‑time analytical and formal modelling tools.
