The primary role of this position is to provide accurate and prompt information on products to meet channel partners and end users demands in order placement, order status, returns, credit memos, no charges, give-a-ways, freight, and product traces. The Customer Support Specialist helps to exceed customer’s expectations by relaying information from the Channel Partners and end users to the OpCos (Hach, McC, Trojan Tech, OTT Hydromet) to continue to improve its products and services. The Customer Support Specialist is expected to perform all the functions of a Customer Service Representative along with understanding and handling more complicated processes.
- Expressed aptitude for working in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in customer service.
- Advanced customer support and order entry knowledge.
- Advanced knowledge of customer support processes (i.e., pricing, products, returns, etc.)
- Ability to resolve customer complaints/problems and provide follow up to customers and supervisor.
- Must have the ability to make sound customer related decisions and respond quickly to the needs of the customer.
- Uses metrics and KPI to self-manage productivity
- Engineering, process technology or related technology bachelor’s degree desired
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, etc.)
- Fluent in English and Spanish
