Our platform helps structural engineers run fast, accurate calculations without inflexible software, freeing them to focus on design. Today we power over 50,000 projects a year across the Americas and Australia, with standards bodies and manufacturers partnering with us to transform how engineering decisions get made. And we’re just getting started. The role This is not a software development role. You will lead our engineering content team - the group of engineers responsible for building, scaling, and validating the structural and design calculations that power Calcs.com. These calculations are created and maintained through our proprietary Calculator Builder, which allows engineers to encode design standards and methods into flexible, validated tools without needing to write software. Manage and coach Group Engineering Managers who lead engineers and technical leads. Build the systems, processes, and metrics that let us forecast throughput and scale delivery. Partner with product, sales, and marketing to ensure our content velocity matches market and customer needs. Strengthen our ability to work with external partners while maintaining Calcs.com’ high quality standards. Report directly to the CEO and play a key role on the leadership team. This role is based in Bogotá (preferred), colocated with the majority of our engineers, though we will also consider strong candidates in Toronto. What you\'ll do Leadership & People Manage and develop Group Engineering Managers. Foster a culture of accountability, growth, and collaboration across engineering. Grow future leaders within the team. Process & Delivery Own throughput forecasting and delivery KPIs (e.g., calculators/features per group). Design repeatable onboarding and QA frameworks. Remove bottlenecks and partner with Product and Development to champion efficiency improvements (tools, workflows). Ensure effective use of the Calculator Builder to codify design methods and standards into scalable, validated calculators. Ensure unit economics of engineering content remain sustainable. Align engineering output with company growth plans Explore and manage relationships with external engineering partners. Stakeholder Management Partner with Product, Sales, Marketing, and CS to align delivery with go-to-market needs. Present to executives and board on engineering P&L, KPIs, and delivery outcomes. Negotiate with and hold vendors accountable for quality and timelines. What we’re looking for 10–20+ years in engineering leadership, ideally with experience managing managers. Proven track record owning KPIs, budgets, or P&L responsibility. Experience re-engineering processes and scaling delivery teams. Strong people leadership skills: able to coach, mentor, and grow managers and engineers. Comfortable working in a high-growth SaaS or consulting environment, adaptable to startup pace. While a background in structural or civil engineering is preferred, we also welcome candidates from adjacent verticals (e.g., product engineering, consulting, or technical delivery) who bring proven experience leading managers and scaling teams.
