Summary of the role Are you passionate about leading high‑performing engineering teams and driving platform excellence in cloud and datacenter environments? As a Senior Manager Platform Engineering Services, you will play a critical role in ensuring the availability, stability, and performance of Amadeus products hosted across private and public cloud platforms. You will lead multidisciplinary teams across Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, Cloud and DevOps, and drive operational excellence through automation, monitoring, and proactive support strategies. This is a strategic leadership role focused on standardizing cloud operations, optimizing performance, and enhancing customer satisfaction globally. In this role you'll Manage multidisciplinary teams across Site Reliability, Platform, Cloud, and DevOps Engineering. Ensure high availability and performance of platforms hosting revenue‑generating services. Drive Automation and Efficiency Develop strategies to automate operations and incident support, reducing manual tasks and improving cost‑effectiveness. Enhance Monitoring and Stability Implement proactive monitoring solutions to detect and resolve issues early, define reliability goals, and ensure production readiness. Ensure Security and Compliance Support security protocols and maintain a resilient cloud environment, ensuring audit readiness and adherence to SLAs and OLAs. Collaborate Across Functions Partner with R&D and contribute to architecture, capacity planning, and change management to support platform standardization and cloud migration. Manage Budget and Resources Oversee a manpower budget of €2.7 million, ensuring efficient resource allocation and alignment with operational goals. About the ideal candidate B.S. in computer science or other relevant field or a minimum of 15 years of related work experience in Information Technology. MSc on Information Technology is a plus. 10+ years in production operations and platform management. 4+ years in cloud migration and administration. 5+ years managing technical teams across geographies. Strong understanding of IT strategy, architecture, and operations. Expertise in Cloud, IaaS, PaaS, and multi‑cloud environments. Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills. A customer‑centric mindset and a drive for continuous improvement. Fluent in English and Spanish required.
