Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the detailed management of the property’s Security and Health Safety Team, ensuring it conforms to all relevant security policies.
- Responsible for the detailed production of the Local Security Policies and Procedures, and Crisis/Emergency Plans, including obtaining appropriate input on local laws or similar requirements.
- Responsible with the General Manager for ensuring that baseline security measures deliver the intent contained in the guidance sections.
- Responsible with the General Manager for ensuring that risk-based security measures deliver a security posture that is matched to security risk.
- Conducting a security risk assessment, at least once a year and on an ‘as required’ basis.
- Ensuring that the property’s Local Security Policies and Procedures are aligned with local law, and any local Health and Safety legislation.
- Forming strategic and working level relationships with local law enforcement, emergency response and other security stakeholders.
- The approval of job descriptions for individual members of the Security Department.
- Ensuring the delivery of appropriate security and safety training to the Security and other relevant Departments.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous Security experience preferred, especially in a luxury environment.
- Must have strong communication skills, and ability to adapt to constant change within the Hotel.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to work as part of a team.
- Good communication skills - Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.
