Senior Pre‑Sales Engineer / Oracle DBA Oracle, Bogotá, D.C., Capital District, Colombia. Job Description Tu Misión: Traducir Tecnología en Valor de Negocio Buscamos a un experto técnico que quiera dar el salto al frente estratégico. Necesitamos un Ingeniero de Preventa con un background sólido en Bases de Datos Oracle. Tu rol no es configurar servidores, es diseñar el futuro de nuestros clientes. Serás el "brazo armado técnico" de nuestro equipo comercial, ayudando a desmitificar la nube para empresas que buscan modernizar sus viejos entornos Oracle y optimizar su gestión de datos. Evangelización Técnica: Acompañarás a los ejecutivos de ventas en reuniones con clientes (desde CTOs hasta DBAs), entendiendo sus dolores actuales y presentando cómo nuestras soluciones de Cloud y Data resuelven sus problemas. Diseño de Soluciones: Crearás arquitecturas de alto nivel y Propuestas Técnicas (RFP/RFI) para migraciones complejas de Oracle a la Nube (OCI, AWS, Azure o GCP) y estrategias de modernización de datos. Pruebas de Concepto (PoC): Coordinarás y, en ocasiones, ejecutarás demostraciones o pilotos para probar que la solución propuesta funciona (ej. demostrar cómo se mueve una base de datos Oracle a la nube sin perder datos). Traductor de Negocio: Tu superpoder será explicar conceptos técnicos complejos (como RAC, Partitioning o Data Governance) en términos de ROI, reducción de TCO y agilidad empresarial. Sizing & Costing: Estimarás los costes de la infraestructura en la nube y ayudarás al cliente a entender el modelo de costes OPEX vs CAPEX. Lo que buscamos en ti (Requisitos) ADN Técnico Sólido: Experiencia previa (+5 años) como DBA Oracle, Arquitecto de Datos o Ingeniero de Sistemas. Mentalidad Cloud Agnostic: Conocimiento de al menos una nube pública (OCI, AWS, Azure o GCP). Entienda cuándo recomendar IaaS vs PaaS. Habilidades de Comunicación: Excelente presentación, redacción técnica y habilidad de debatir y convencer técnicamente a un cliente escéptico. Data Management: Entiende el ciclo de vida del dato, estrategias de Backup/DR y nociones de cómo el dato fluye hacia plataformas de Analytics o Big Data. Visión Comercial: Capacidad de identificar oportunidades de upselling o cross‑selling técnico durante las conversaciones con clientes. Suma puntos extra (Deseables) Experiencia previa en roles de Preventa, Consultoría Técnica o Arquitectura de Soluciones. Certificaciones de Arquitectura en Cloud (OCI Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, etc.). Conocimiento de licenciamiento Oracle. Experiencia con motores de base de datos Open Source (PostgreSQL) como destino de migración. Responsibilities Engages with strategic customers, builds leadership relationships at multiple levels within organizations in order to design and implement solutions. Works directly with customers to gather requirements, develop architectures and translates business needs into solutions. May implement solutions and ensure successful deployments through code development and scripting. Displays product/application understanding through highly customized presentation demonstrations to customers, and at conferences, and events. Supports customer from Proof of Concept (POC) through production deployment of services via resource configuration, planning, and customer education/training. Creates and distributes technical assets (white papers, solution code, blog posts, and video demonstrations). Serves as a leading contributor for customers and sales on technical cloud solutions and customer success. Identifies gaps and enhancements to influence engineering roadmaps for customer driven features. Leading contributor, may provide direction and mentoring to others. Work is non‑routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. May interact with C level. Maintains expertise by staying current on emerging technologies.
