The Area Business Manager (ABM) is its territory manager, and its responsibility is to maximize the sales performance and the development and execution of an effective account business plan following the marketing and product strategy.

The ABM is expected to maximize territory sales performance by developing and executing an effective business plan. Doing so necessitates utilizing resources provided by Biogen, analyzing territory performance, defining action plans and implementing local marketing strategies, and organizing programs and related efforts that will positively impact others' understanding of and interest in the assigned products.

The activities included, but not limited to:

  1. Achieving sales goals: Works toward the achievement of sales goals set by the organization; Prioritizes activities that drive market share; Applies marketing and business strategy/tactics to maximize sales outcomes.
  2. Business planning: Develops and executes a territory plan; Analyzes data to identify viable opportunities; Coordinates and utilizes available resources.
  3. Leveraging and coordinating resources: Takes lead role in mobilizing resources; Uses resources in an innovative and impactful way; Collaborates with internal teams and cross-functional partners to advance programs and initiatives.
  4. Closely tracks the progress of new patients starting treatment (as appropriate in the geography and according to law requirements/restrictions).
  5. Maintaining best-in-class knowledge: Demonstrates industry-leading understanding of disease state, products (BIIB and competition), clinical practices, market dynamics, and healthcare systems.
  6. Keeps timely documentation (e.g., expense reports, compliance-related, CRM system) and provides inputs required for planning and coordination. Ensures performance of frequency of sales calls on designated customers in the territory; operates in the professional selling approach.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's in science, medicine and/or business administration, economy or related.
  2. Medium or High English level desirable.
  3. Minimum of 4 years of relevant pharmaceutical/health care sales & promotion experience or patient support program management, preferably in specialty sales.
  4. Proven and sustained track record of reaching and exceeding sales goals.
  5. Desirable experience in biotechnology, monoclonal antibodies, high specialty products i.e. Immunology, Oncology, Hematology and preferably Neuroscience.
  6. Health Care System knowledge.
  7. Travel availability to cover Bogota, Cali and Eje Cafetero.
