World Business Lenders World Business Lenders (WBL) provides general purpose short‑term real estate collateralised commercial loans to a broad customer base of small and medium sized businesses throughout the United States that lack access to traditional funding. The company is U.S.‑based and operates a 100% remote workforce. Working hours for this role are 9:00 am–6:00 pm Eastern time , Monday through Friday. Hours may be greater based on operational requirements. Applicants must have excellent oral and written command of English. Resumes must be submitted in English. Accounting Analyst We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accounting Analyst to join our Finance team. This role will support day‑to‑day accounting operations, financial reporting, and close processes, working closely with senior accounting leadership in a fast‑paced environment. Responsibilities Prepare accurate and timely financial reports in accordance with accounting standards Support month‑end and year‑end close processes Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts Analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and investigate variances Maintain organised accounting documentation and financial records Support audit preparation and compliance requirements Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve accounting and financial processes Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field 1‑3 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or similar roles Familiarity with US GAAP and experience in multi‑entity, regulated, or fast‑paced environments preferred Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting Hands‑on experience with reconciliations, financial statements, and close cycles (month‑end / year‑end) Ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues proactively Experience with accounting software or ERP systems (Sage preferred); advanced Excel skills required (formulas, pivot tables) Background in financial services, lending, banking, fintech, public accounting, or high‑growth companies is a plus Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability for work output Effective time management with the ability to meet deadlines consistently Clear written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative, team‑oriented mindset Benefits Completely Remote – Enjoy the flexibility of working from home Full‑time opportunity as an independent contractor USD salary + commissions Paid time off (PTO) offered Location: Bogota, D.C., Capital District, Colombia #J-18808-Ljbffr
