Overview The QA Engineer is responsible for managing, building, testing, and deploying automated and manual tests for multiple projects. This role requires a comprehensive approach, as the engineer must be able to manage inputs with product ownership teams as elements that complement the development of test cases. The person will be responsible for creating and maintaining automation packages with high quality and efficiency, demonstrating a good command of code development and the ability to learn and take ownership of business logic. Accountabilities Having the ability to design the best solution based on business logic, with the ability to say and justify why the automation process should or should not be carried out. Talk to the product owners to learn details of the business logic, as well as input management and the solution of problems with the applications. Understand business logic and work dynamically between the environments that the company manages for UAT. Strong programming logic skills in high-level and object-oriented languages and good database skills. Nice to have Java Skills Knowledge in the following technical concepts: Software Development Life Cycle BDD Agile Methodologies Versioning process and good practices Design pattern POM Nice to have (Automation Testing Knowledge) Nice to have (Banking Knowledge) Nice to have (API Testing Knowledge) Nice to have (AS400 Knowledge) Education / Experience / Other Information 3+ years of software development experience Knowledge of SDLC – Waterfall and Agile. Experience working in waterfall and/or agile team. Knowledge on SQL and ability to write complex queries. Experience working with Java, SQL, BDD and POM. Desirable Ability to propose solutions independently in pursuit of established objectives. Strong working knowledge of department-related software Hands on experience working with JIRA, Confluence, Selenium Well-developed leadership ability Strong interpersonal skills Superior analytical skills High attitude to handle reported issues and provide solutions.
