El rol del Superintendente de Gestión de Proyectos es responsable de la planificación y entrega del cronograma del proyecto mediante la gestión de contratos, recursos, presupuestos, cambios y riesgos. Este puesto deberá supervisar la planificación, coordinación y gestión del cronograma del proyecto a través del monitoreo y control del calendario, el seguimiento del progreso y la implementación de planes de recuperación cuando sea necesario. Esto implica colaborar con el Líder del Estudio, los miembros del equipo y las partes interesadas para identificar tareas, establecer plazos y asignar recursos. Asimismo será responsable de proporcionar informes precisos y oportunos, que serán cruciales para tomar decisiones informadas y a tiempo. Responsabilidades y áreas clave de enfoque Desarrollo de Cronogramas de Proyecto: Crear cronogramas detallados que incluyan todas las actividades, hitos y entregables del proyecto, de acuerdo con los estándares de Rio Tinto y las directrices del estudio. Facilitar la comunicación entre diferentes equipos para garantizar que todos estén informados sobre los plazos y las dependencias. Mantener y actualizar los cronogramas para reflejar el progreso real, los cambios en el alcance o la disponibilidad de recursos. Monitorear tendencias y eficiencia de recursos para informar decisiones estratégicas y mejorar los resultados del proyecto. Guiar e influir en las partes interesadas en todos los niveles para lograr hitos críticos del proyecto y alinearlos con la estrategia empresarial más amplia. Informar el estado del proyecto al Líder del Estudio y a las partes interesadas sobre el estado del cronograma, riesgos y desviaciones. Gestionar las interfaces del proyecto mediante liderazgo continuo, colaboración e influencia entre las partes interesadas internas y externas. Lo que necesitas para ser considerado/a para este rol Título universitario en Ingeniería, Gestión de Proyectos, Administración de Empresas o un campo relacionado (obligatorio). Certificaciones como PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) o certificaciones en Primavera pueden ser ventajosas. Dominio requerido en software de programación Primavera P6 y Microsoft Project, así como herramientas de seguimiento de desempeño. Experiencia mínimo 10 años en proyectos de gran escala, idealmente en los sectores minero o energético. Habilidades analíticas requeridas para analizar requisitos del proyecto, dependencias y limitaciones de recursos, con el fin de construir cronogramas precisos. Gestión del tiempo, priorizando eficientemente tareas y manejando múltiples cronogramas simultáneamente. Resolución de problemas, identificando proactivamente conflictos de programación y proponiendo soluciones efectivas. Gestión de riesgos: familiaridad con la identificación, evaluación y mitigación de riesgos relacionados con el cronograma. Experiencia en gestión de recursos, tanto personales como materiales, para alinearlos con los cronogramas del proyecto. Experiencia en coordinación de actividades entre equipos diversos y gestión de interdependencias. Experiencia en gestión del cambio, manejando cambios en el alcance y actualizando cronogramas para reflejar ajustes del proyecto. Experiencia en interacción con proveedores y partes interesadas internas para comunicar actualizaciones de cronograma y resolver problemas de manera efectiva. Éxito comprobado en entornos remotos y logísticamente complejos, típicos de operaciones en Colombia. Fuertes habilidades de comunicación en español e inglés, con capacidad para influir en todos los niveles organizacionales. The Superintendent Project Management is accountable for the planning and delivery of the project timeline through managing contracts, resources, budgets, changes, and risks. This role will be required to oversee the planning, coordination and management of the project timeline through the schedule monitoring and control, tracking progress, and implementing recovery plans when necessary. This involves collaborating with the Study Lead, team members and stakeholders to identify tasks, set deadlines, and allocate resources. They will also be responsible for providing accurate and timely reports, which will be crucial for making informed and timely decisions. Responsibilities & key focus areas Developing Project Schedules – Creating detailed schedules that map out all project activities, milestones, and deliverables according to Rio Tinto standards and study guidelines. Facilitating communication between different teams to ensure everyone is informed of deadlines and dependencies. Maintaining and updating Schedules to reflect actual progress, changes in scope, or resource availability. Monitor trends and resource efficiency to inform strategic decisions and enhance project outcomes. Guide and influence stakeholders at all levels to achieve critical project milestones and align with broader business strategy. Reporting project status for Study Lead, and stakeholders on schedule status, risk and variances. Manage project interfaces through continuous leadership, collaboration, and influence across internal and external stakeholders. What you will bring and require to be considered for this role Required Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field (required). Certifications such as PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI‑SP), or Primavera certifications can be advantageous. Required proficiency in scheduling software Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project and performance tracking tools. Experience – Minimum 10 years in large‑scale projects, ideally in mining or energy sectors. Required analytical skills to analyze project requirements, dependencies and resource constraints to build accurate timelines. Time management, efficiently prioritizing tasks and managing multiple schedules simultaneously. Problem‑Solving, proactively identifying scheduling conflicts and proposing effective solutions. Risk Management – familiarity with identifying, assessing, and mitigating schedule risk. Experience in managing resources, personal and material, to align with project timelines. Experience coordinating activities among diverse teams and managing interdependence. Experience in Change Management, handling scope changes and updating schedules to reflect project adjustments. Experience interacting with vendors, internal stakeholders to communicate schedule updates and proven solving. Proven success in remote and logistically complex environments typical of Colombia operations. Strong communication skills in Spanish and English, with the ability to influence across all organizational levels.
